3CX PBX Phone System for Windows



3CX PBX for Windows System Requirements

3CX Server:
  • Operating System: XP Pro, Vista, Windows 2003 Server or Windows 2008 Server
  • Memory: 1GB or more recommended
  • CPU: 1 GHz (or equivalent) or better
  • Disk Space:
    • 20M Hard Disk space for 3CX installation files
    • Additional disk space for database files
    • Additional disk space for logging, dependent upon configuration
  • Ports: Ports 5060 (SIP), 5080 (Tunnel - Optional), 5480, 5482, 5483, and 5484 to be free & open
  • Web Server: One port for Internet Information Server (IIS), 3 if using Cassini (5000, 5481, 5484)
  • .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher
Windows Vista Users: To install 3CX Phone System on Vista, you need to disable UAC (user account control). To disable UAC do the following:
  1. Open Administrative Tools in Control Panel and double-click on System Configuration
  2. Click Continue to accept the UAC prompt
  3. Select the Tools tab, scroll down and select Disable UAC
  4. Click Launch and Reboot your machine
SIP Requirements:
  • Phones: SIP standard based software or hardware phones
  • Gateways: Optional VOIP Gateway (if you need to connect PSTN phone lines)
  • VOIP Service: Optional VOIP service provider account (if you want to place calls via the Internet)
