- New Instant Messaging Option
- VisNetic WebChat - WebChat makes it possible to Instant Message without having to install a separate IM client. WebChat needs only a browser supporting HTML and JavaScript. It is an ideal way for VisNetic MailServer users to chat with co-workers when only a browser is available. Available in VisNetic WebMail Outlook themes only.
- Instant AntiSpam Improvements -
- Full implementation of SpamAssassin 3.0
- SURBL (Spam URI Realtime Blocklist) - Unlike the use of RBLs, which filter on the From email address only, SURBLs allow you to filter and block messages based on spam domains that appear within the message bodies.
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework) - SPF verifies the authenticity of the sender's FROM adress by performing a DNS query to verify that the sending server is authorized to send email on behalf of that address.
- Server Rules - Formerly known as Black and White Lists, Server Rules allow an individual user to filter all incoming messages by email address or domain. The Server Rules are always enabled and give users the ability to establish filters that will override global filters.
- User Controlled AntiSpam in WebMail - This allows the user to control their own AntiSpam engine settings. If enabled at the server level, the user may enable/disable Instant AntiSpam Engine, Challenge Response and use of the default Spam Folder. Spam Detection Level can also be set at the user level. Settings included Low, Medium and High. High means that only a low probability of the message being spam is required to mark the message as spam. If you want only the most blatant messages to be marked as spam than you would select the Low Detection Level.
- VisNetic WebMail Enhancements -
- Nested Folders - Similar to MS Outlook, VisNetic WebMail users can sort Notes, Tasks and Contacts into separate folders and subfolders. These nested folders will now be shown in Outlook and WebMail after synchronization.
- Client Rules - Formerly know as Processing Rules, Client Rules allow individual users to sort/delete messages to folders according to user specified conditions. This functionality is enabled only when the user logs into WebMail. Once logged in, the Client Rules will take affect and sort new messages not yet filtered/processed by another email client.
- New WebMail folder structure with ability to browse, expand and collapse folders
- New WebMail Spell Checker
- New drop down menus for easier WebMail navigation
- New WebMail address book import/export
- AM/PM mode for WebMail and Calendaring may be enabled
