Flexible Sending Options

VisNetic MailCast's Engine handles the "sending" phase (including testing), and confirmation that each message was sent.

When the email message is prepared and the tests completed, the campaign can be scheduled for sending. The campaign Editor specifies the time to start sending. The campaign may be sent immediately, or at a future date and time. The campaign may also be sent completely or partially - based on a number or percentage of the recipient database.

The VisNetic MailCast Engine defines recipients from the database, as specified by the Editor, and sends the messages. The email addresses within the recipient database may also be checked prior to sending for format and validity using Address Check, to ensure messages are delivered effectively.

Generated email may be sent one of two ways: email may be sent via a direct SMTP connection to one or more mail servers, or copied directly to the spool directory of one or more mail servers (e.g.; VisNetic MailServer). This flexibility provides the System Administrator with full control. Finally, the system automatically confirms each message sent, and saves the information to the database.

One of MailCast's most valuable features is its ability to allow the campaign Editor to "test" messages on live recipients. This is accomplished by sending the message to a portion of selected recipients (i.e.; the "test" group), and then measuring open and click-through rates for the test group prior to resuming the sending phase.
