WebSite does not use Active Directory, instead it uses the older LSAPI calls for NT Native security. This works well for WebSite's purposes, including handling local versus domain accounts and running on primary/secondary domain controllers.

This is due to some minor issues in PHP, it has been reported that fresh installs of WebSite 3.1.11.0 and PHP 4.1.1 have resolved the issues. We have customers running the latest version of WebSite and PHP 4.1.11 without any problems.

All versions of WebSite provide two standard (basic) methods of access control, which can be applied to the whole web or any URL in your web:
- Class restrictions, which allow or deny access to the web (or portions of the web) based on the internet address or hostname of the web browser. Class restrictions are often referred to as IP or hostname filtering.
- User authentication, which allows or denies access to the web (or portions of the web) based on a username and password. Usernames and passwords are specific to the server and are not related to usernames and groups established on your system. Making someone a user on your server does not give them an account on your computer.

This error is telling you that you have no secure certificates set up in WebSite under the Key Ring Tab and any secure requests for this domain are disabled.
If you have set up a secure certificate for this domain and you are still getting this error message. The certificate may not be set up correctly. The icon under the Key Ring tab needs to be a key icon. If the icon is a yellow question mark icon double check the certificate and try reattaching it to the domain.
See Article 1925 for more information.

Yes you can. Installing ColdFusion should create the correct mappings in WebSite for ColdFusion. If it doesn't, here are the correct mappings. These should be placed under the Associations Mapping Type:
File Extension - .cfm Associated EXE or DLL Path - c:\cfusion\bin\wscf.dll
File Extension - .dbm Associated EXE or DLL Path - c:\cfusion\bin\wscf.dll
Once these mappings are in place just create your ColdFusion files in the directory your content is stored in and the page should load up when called upon.

On the WebSite 3.0 CD, many of the add-ons were designed and programmed by O’Reilly programmers or a different 3rd party group of programmers. Many of these add-ons may not work after the upgrade to 3.1.11 and they are no longer supported.

When you set up multiple domains in WebSite, you will be asked for a URL Prefix. This is a way for WebSite to determine which site the request is coming in for and which mapping to look at for the directory of that site. All of your domains cannot be in the same directory because each domain needs an index.html file to read the page off of. If you put all of your domains in the same directory then you will only be able to view the content on the main index.html file.
